JF - Annals of King Edward Medical University JA - Annals KEMU VL - 3 IS - 4 SE - Articles DO - 10.21649/akemu.v3i4.3518 UR - https://annalskemu.org/journal/index.php/annals/article/view/3518 SP - 86-87 AB - During a period of 6 years, we have used auricular composite grafts for reconstruction of full thickness defects of the ala of the nose in 11 patients (follow-up 3 to 84 months; mean 40.5 months). The graft remained completely viable in 10 patients. Donor site scar was minimal and well accepted. It has been observed that a good aesthetic result and anatomical reconstruction of the three structures of the ala of the nose namely, skin cartilage and vestibular lining is achieved in a single operation by using this technique.
