The reverse gastric tube provides the most physiologic substitute for the esophagus whose entire length is bypassed or replaced. This paper presents my experience in this procedure. Six patients underwent this procedure during the last 14 months, there was no mortality and patients had a smooth recovery. The first two patients both developed salivary fistulae, which was managed conservatively. Rest of the four patients had an uneventful recovery.Downloads
