King Edward Medical University is the oldest educational institution in Pakistan. During the tenure of Prof. Naseer M. Akhtar (1995 to 1997) Directory of all the research work done and being conducted was prepared and Annals of King Edward Medical College-a quarterly journal was launched and recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). It was first published in April 1995 with Prof. Abdul Majeed Ch. as Editor of Annals of KEMU. The fellows of CPSP who get their research published in the Annals of KEMU are exempted from dissertation writing. HEC has recognized the Annals of KEMU for Ph.D. research. Under the dynamic leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, the Annals is setting a new trajectory of brilliance and a novel precedent of success in research.
Recently its editorial board has been revamped with the inclusion of eminent academicians and world known research scholars. The team striving their best to make it an impact factor journal recognized by maximum International indexing services.
Annals of KEMU is a biomedical research journal that is devoted to publishing the recent advances in all areas of biomedical research for physicians, surgeons, Post Graduate trainees and undergraduate students with special emphasis on clarity of presentation and accuracy of the presented data sciences, clinical specialties and super specialty areas. Articles describing original clinical or laboratory investigations, case reports and public health related studies and surveys are always considered for publication. As a multi-disciplinary journal published by the most renowned and oldest medical institute of Pakistan, Annals of KEMU publishes the most relevant original research articles that form the foundations of tomorrow's medicine in Pakistan and around the globe.
